Oswego Lake is a private lake and in order to be able to boat in it you must either live in a Lake Oswego waterfront home or live in a home with a lake/boat easement.

There are many different options for both choices. For Oswego Lake waterfront homes you can look at both the South and the North shore. There are also many canals and bays off of the main lake. There are two high schools in Lake Oswego so if a particular one is important to you than it is important to know where the Lake Oswego high school boundaries are.

Having an easement to Oswego Lake is a more affordable way to have good access to the lake. There are many different Lake Oswego neighborhood easements to choose to be a member of so again look at boundaries and also look at the individual easements themselves. They all differ from each other so choose a home in a neighborhood with an easement that suits you. Keep in mind they have limited boat slips and have different ways if allocating those to easement members so you may not get a slip right away or even soon.

You can see Lake Oswego waterfront homes for sale on our corporate site. We are also happy to show you out favorites and help you figure out what park of the lake is best for you. Lake Oswego 4th Of July Celebrations Everywhere!

Celebrate our country’s independence LO style!

Lake Oswego July 4th Celebrations!

Everywhere you look in Lake Oswego Oregon today is a celebration!  From the back yard and front porch home parties to all the events in Downtown LO and the look at Oswego Lake itself.

Starting at 10 AM this morning we were treated to a lovely July 4th parade right through town.  Then Millenium Plaza Park with many activities and the boat parade at 1:00.  This is not to mention all the boating going on elsewhere in the lake.  Oswego Lake is full of bobbing boats covered in teenagers, wake boarders, inner tubes jumping in the wake as they are pulled around the lake, and just about everyone you could imagine.  It is a perfect day weather wise with just the perfect breeze in the air and gorgeous blue skies.

Tonight half an hour past sunset at around 9:45 at the Lake Grove Swim Park will be the big fireworks show. The Lake Corporation Fireworks Show will be a site to see and a perfect end to the long day.  Most of the boats on Oswego Lake will be hanging out on that end of the lake.

Lake Oswego is a great place to live and a wonderful spot to celebrate the Fourth of July!

Oswego Lake Waterfront Living: Tubing Rules Have Changed

Lake Oswego Waterfront Living
Boating on Oswego Lake and Lake Oswego Waterfront living

Don’t forget that the inner tubing rules have changed for this year and you can only have two people on the tube at once this summer.

We have seen many boats pulled over already this season for violating this new rule from the Lake Corp. The Lake Patrol doesn’t seem to be ticketing at this point, but rather warning boaters on Oswego Lake and alerting them to the change.

Let us know what you see out there, too. Oswego Lake is a wonderful place to enjoy lots of different sports and activities. Tubing is just one of the many water sports we have the luxury of enjoying on our beautiful Oswego Lake.

If you are interested in Lake Oswego waterfront homes or Lake Oswego easement homes with boat and lake access.
