Lake Oswego Waterfront Living: Stickman’s By Boat

Stickman’s is “brewing” with energy on this Sunday. Being able to boat to Downtown LO is a huge perk to living on the lake. Lake Oswego waterfront homes are truly like living in a resort. You can still take advantage of Oswego Lake waterfront living if you buy a Lake Oswego waterfront easement home. This means you have rights to the lake.

Lake Oswego waterfront living

Oswego Lake is a private lake and in order to be able to boat in it you must either live in a Lake Oswego waterfront home or live in a home with a lake/boat easement.

There are many different options for both choices. For Oswego Lake waterfront homes you can look at both the South and the North shore. There are also many canals and bays off of the main lake. There are two high schools in Lake Oswego so if a particular one is important to you than it is important to know where the Lake Oswego high school boundaries are.

Having an easement to Oswego Lake is a more affordable way to have good access to the lake. There are many different Lake Oswego neighborhood easements to choose to be a member of so again look at boundaries and also look at the individual easements themselves. They all differ from each other so choose a home in a neighborhood with an easement that suits you. Keep in mind they have limited boat slips and have different ways if allocating those to easement members so you may not get a slip right away or even soon.

You can see Lake Oswego waterfront homes for sale on our corporate site. We are also happy to show you out favorites and help you figure out what park of the lake is best for you. Lo@cooperjacobs.com

Lake Oswego 4th Of July Celebrations Everywhere!

Celebrate our country’s independence LO style!

Lake Oswego July 4th Celebrations!

Everywhere you look in Lake Oswego Oregon today is a celebration!  From the back yard and front porch home parties to all the events in Downtown LO and the look at Oswego Lake itself.

Starting at 10 AM this morning we were treated to a lovely July 4th parade right through town.  Then Millenium Plaza Park with many activities and the boat parade at 1:00.  This is not to mention all the boating going on elsewhere in the lake.  Oswego Lake is full of bobbing boats covered in teenagers, wake boarders, inner tubes jumping in the wake as they are pulled around the lake, and just about everyone you could imagine.  It is a perfect day weather wise with just the perfect breeze in the air and gorgeous blue skies.

Tonight half an hour past sunset at around 9:45 at the Lake Grove Swim Park will be the big fireworks show. The Lake Corporation Fireworks Show will be a site to see and a perfect end to the long day.  Most of the boats on Oswego Lake will be hanging out on that end of the lake.

Lake Oswego is a great place to live and a wonderful spot to celebrate the Fourth of July!
